Built alongside operators at the tip of the spear, the CRUX system is designed to shorten kill chain and improve situation awareness in even the most extreme and unfavorable circumstances.
Dr. Joanne Lo is the CEO and Co-Founder of Elysian Labs. She is a recognized Subject Matter Expert in the fields of photonics, MEMS, and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). Prior to the foundation of Elysian Labs, Joanne was a Member of the Technical Staff at Sandia National Labs, where she led the design and development of weapons components and conducted research to progress the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of her conceptual innovations. After her time at Sandia, Dr. Lo was a researcher for Google ATAP and Adobe Research. Joanne received her PhD from UC Berkeley in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), HCI and also holds a M.S. and B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering, respectively, from UC Davis.
Adam Hutz is a PhD candidate from the Rhetoric Department at the University of California, Berkeley, specializing in computer-aided design, rapid invention prototyping, and user-centric design innovation processes. He has instructed over a dozen unique courses in the fields of design, engineering, and rhetoric, and applies his cross-disciplinary domain expertise to the most challenging UI/UX problems faced by our nation's warfighters today.
Dmitry is a student in Skyline College majoring in Computer Sciences, specializing in web and Android development. He is an United States Marine combat veteran, where he served 6 years as infantry squad leader in multiple tours.

Jake is a MBA student at the Berkeley Haas School of Business, specializing in operation and brand management. He served in the Air Force for 11 years as a F-16 and MQ-1 pilot, where he managed the training and deployment of combat units as flight commander.
Noah is an MBA student at the Berkeley Haas School of Business, with a background spanning product development, innovation strategy, and design. Prior to coming to Haas, Noah worked as a design and innovation consultant, where he led a multi-year Product Innovation Lab for Samsung, and helped launch a startup focused on building smart hardware products for gardeners and small farmers.
Darwin is an MBA student in the Berkeley Haas School of Business. Prior coming to Haas, he earned his PhD in Chemical engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder. He has experience in leading material science and renewable research and development efforts at Sandia National Labs and Intel.
Ahad is a sophomore EECS major at UC Berkeley. He is interested in robotics and human-computer interaction, and last year he worked on CAN bus and telemetry firmware in solar vehicles to encode low-memory and high-efficiency transmission of information between devices.
Enrique is a third year cognitive science major at UC Berkeley, with a focus on Computer Science & Data Science. He is experienced in design and small scale app development.
Justin is an undeclared freshman at UC Berkeley, currently pursing the Berkeley Certificate of Design. He is passionate about tech and design, especially UX work. He has experienced in graphic/product design and mobile app design.
Yani is a junior majoring in Applied Math and Art Practice at UC Berkeley. Her expertise includes graphic and prototyping design using Sketch, Figma, Adobe Illustrator, and InVision. Using these tools, she recently created an user dashboard for a Berkeley AI startup, Lecida.
Tiger is a second year architecture student at UC Berkeley interested in product design. He works in visual design and UI/UX, most recently creating a mobile prototype for VR startup Owlized.
Leela is a third year Mechanical Engineering student at UC Berkeley, with a passion for mechatronics and social impact design. She has experience contributing to both industrial design and engineering teams with Bay Area startups such as Owlized and Blue River Technology.
